In the late Middle Ages, two major political factions fight for their ideas for the unification of fragmented Italy. These are the Guelphs and the Ghibellines, respectively – adherents of the religious and the secular idea of ​​the world. Gibelin (note – in order to simplify matters some of the letters in the original name were removed) is also the name we will come across numerous times throughout this text to test what is the connection with Pre-Renaissance Italy, who and what is behind Gibelin Events and why such projects matter.
